Monday, Nov.8th (4's) and Tuesday, Nov. 9th (3's)--We will be celebrating National Hug-A-Bear Day! Students should bring their favorite teddy bear to school!! They may also wear pajamas to school that day! Please, no slippers though--only tennis shoes, for safety!!

Friday, Nov. 19th---Walking field trip to the library.

Wednesday, Nov. 24th--Thanksgiving Feast!! 11:30am-1:oopm
For 3's, 4's and their guests!! More info. will post (& be sent home) soon!

Monday, Nov. 29th---There will be a substitute teacher!! I will be taking a personal day due to our annual Thanksgiving family trip to Tennessee.

**I will be doing assessments with the 4's early in the month. This is simply a way for me to gauge where they are in their learning, as well as to help track their progress this school year. I will send home a "progress report" once I have completed this. Every child learns at a different rate--so please do not stress these assessments. They really are just to track their learning!

Lohr's U Pick Pumpkins Field Trip

What a beautiful day we had for the field trip. Thank you to all the parents for being so helpful on the trip, with your own child as well as the others---and for being patient with me! What a fun official first Monday for me!!! Please feel free to share any pictures you took that day!

Fire Department walking field trip.

The children had a wonderful time at the fire department! Everyone got a chance to sit in the front seat of one of the fire trucks. They also got to ride in a fire truck. Fireman Dan showed us what a fireman looks like with all his gear on--a little intimidating for some of us. We learned that even though he might look scary, he's there to help. Some of the students even tried on his coat and hat! We also practiced "Stop, Drop and Roll!". I encourage you to work on, and practice, a fire escape plan at home!

Hello!

Hello Parents!
I am so excited to be able to work with your wonderful children. I greatly enjoyed shadowing Jessica earlier this week and getting to know each student. Jessica has been a great teacher, and I hope that I can live up to the expectations she has set. I know you all join me in wishing her luck with her kindergarten class!

I also look forward to getting to know you! Please call or email if you have any questions! If you need to reach me during the school day, either call Reformation or my cell phone--I'll get that number to you with the next Newsletter.

Please remember to have your money in tomorrow (Friday 15th) for Monday's field trip!
