Dear Parents,
Welcome to the Reformation Lutheran Church Preschool! The first day of school is an exciting milestone in your child's life. Your child is embarking on a journey that will lead them on many roads of discovery and learning. My name is Jessica Bowman. I will be your child’s Preschool Teacher this school year. I am looking forward to working with your child. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself. I am married and I have one child. Conley is my son and he is one year old. I grew up in Emporia, Virginia. I attended Ferrum college and graduated with a degree in Liberal Arts and Education. I have my license in PreK-3rd grade and I have been teaching for three years. I taught Kindergarten for two in Greensville County and one year at Ashby Lee teaching 3rd grade. I took a year off to be with my son when he was born.
Some of my goals for this school year are:
· To provide a safe learning environment for your child.
· Help your child grow in academic, social, communication, self-help and motor skills
· Help your child to become more independent and ready for Kindergarten.
· To establish and follow a transition plan that will assist students going into Kindergarten.
Open House will be held August 29th. The three-year-olds will meet from 1-1:45 and the four year old class will meet from 2-2:45. I look forward to meeting the students and their families.
